“Summer (Mostly) Thursdays”
c/o Bayfield Presbyterian Church 306 Washington Ave Bayfield, WI 54814 715-779-5490 715-682-3272
Thursday July 21, 5:00-615 p.m.
Bayfield Presbyterian Church, 306 Washington Avenue
Time is of the Essence
"Summer (Mostly) Thursdays" continues with singers Jan Lee and Kathleen Otterson, violinist and singer Mary Bondeson, pianists Janice Nelson and Joni Chapman, and flutist Betty Braunstein presenting a "back by popular demand" show from the "Women of Summer". This time around, watch out and don't be tardy for this fun and sometimes philosophical look at all things ticking and tocking.
Join us for an evening of selections by a wide range of composers and lyricists: John Dowland, George Gershwin, Grace Slick, Sandy Denny, Leonard Bernstein, Herman Hupfeld, Betty Comden, Rick Sowash, Alain Boubil, and Astor Piazzolla - to name a few. We will "Jacques Around the Clock" with Jacques Ibert's Histoires and synchronize our watches with the White Rabbit. When it comes to the topic of "time," it seems like everyone has something to say.
This concert is sponsored in part by the Family of Mary Dobson and the Apostle Island Area Community Fund of the Duluth Superior Area Community Foundation. There is no admission charge, but free will offerings are encouraged and gratefully accepted. A modest reception follows the concert. Two Threat Clocks will be given away as door prizes. Please call 715-682-3272 or 715-779-5490 for more information.
