The Bay Area Chamber Ensemble consists of musicians from the Chequamegon Bay Area who perform as a piano quintet and collaborate with other members of the music community to offer concerts featuring not-so-familiar classical music. They all are frequent performers for the Ashland Chamber Music Society, Chequamegon Symphony, Stage North, and the Chequamegon Theater Association. They are joined by Joel Glickman, clarinet, who is an emeritus professor of music at Northland College, and a well known solo and ensemble performer of multiple instruments and styles in the Northland. The ensemble membership "flexes" to accommodate the needs of the repertoire they've selected to perform. Come and enjoy some music you've probably never heard before!
